Originally I made the bags myself, however it was no longer viable for me to continue doing this so I started looking for manufacturers. It was very important to me that my bags were manufactured ethically. I spent days, weeks, months researching manufacturers and collecting samples to find someone who was the right fit for the brand and that I was happy to work with.
I contacted businesses in the UK, Europe, India, China and more, eventually I found a manufacturer who understood my vision and met my ethical standards.
I make no secret of the fact my bags are made in China, after all the research I had done this was in fact the best and most ethical option. I ensured the working conditions were good, the workers were paid fairly and that my bags were being manufactured sustainably.
I hope that as my brand grows we can work towards bigger steps in sustainability and ethical working conditions.
